Virtual Vacation
You will be taking a "virtual vacation" around the whole world! You will be expected to plan your trip around the whole world! Visit countries you have never heard of, learn about people who are totally different from you, and explore!
Your vacation must include:
* Explore 1 country in each continent!

*Fly over each ocean.

* Visit 2 of the Mountain Ranges below:
-Rocky Mountains -Alps Mountains -Himalayan Mountains -Andes Mountains -Ural Mountains |
* Visit 1 desert and 1 rainforest.

Session 1: Dream Big
Use the printable map and number which order you want to visit each continent. Remember your goals are to visit each continent AND cross each ocean!

Session 2: Where, Oh Where?
Use another map. Combine the following maps onto one page. Choose carefully as some are more exact than others. Use a Map Key to identify which colors you choose for which of these ideas.

Session 3: Getting Closer!
Compare your first math to your second map. Move your numbers more closely to where you want to visit. Be sure to visit 2 mountain ranges, 1 desert, and 1 rainforest!

Session 4: Countries
Download the chart below. Save it to your P drive. Label it something that you can remember! Compare your maps of dreams, your maps of landforms, and these maps below. What are the names of the countries that you would like to visit? It's okay to make changes to your wish list, as long as you meet the requirements for the vacation!

It's time to figure out how to get there! Assuming you want to take the least amount of time to get there, let's go "buy" plane tickets! Use the websites below to figure out prices and destinations. The maps above will help locating city names. Download the plane tickets. Save them to your P drive, Virtual Vacation Folder.
